STEREOASIS: Your source from my mind of musical goodness.
I'm just a girl in the world; that's all you'll let me be! ...okay enough of this cliché lyrical intro. I am just a girl, but I'm a girl who wants you to read what she's writing about something she loves more than anything else on the planet (well, from what I know, since I have yet to explore this entire Earth yet), which is music. I hope you enjoy. Leave comments, be a part of it.

Timbaland's New Single
Timbaland dropped his new single "Morning After Dark" off at some radio stations this morning. I'm listening to it now and it's a pretty hot dance track. I like what I hear. iPod Nano now has a camera?
According to Apple's website, Apple is releasing the new iPod Nano, now equipped with a built-in camera. My question is: why does the Touch still not have a camera? Apple just likes to hold features back when they could very easily add them to their devices, just so they can release them one by one and call them new and technologically advanced versions.
The Nano with a camera seems like a waste to me. I can already predict that they would break really easily.

Vivian Girls - "Everything Goes Wrong" Released 9/8/09
I'm currently listening to the Vivian Girls' (Girls's?) new LP "Everything Goes Wrong" which came out today...err, well technically yesterday. This album is definitely fun and pure chick rock.
It oozes riot grrrl and raw "Kathleen Hanna totally inspired this" power. The problem with this album, and often times with this kind of music, is that most songs sound very similar to each other, as much as I want female rockers to kick serious ass and be unique. I can barely tell if there are 13 songs on here or just one really, really long one. It's like a musical equivalent to Jonas Brother eyebrows; you just can't tell if there are two or one.
You could either find this album really annoying or really f'in awesome.
Personally, I find it to be borderline both. I definitely could not listen to this entire album again in one sitting. This is one of those albums needed in small doses, when you're feeling like you're ready to put on some Doc Martens and maybe mosh a little bit.
With some tweaking, Vivian Girls could be half of what Bikini Kill was, but that's a pretty unreachable feat.
Favorite song: "Can't Get Over You"
Least favorite song: "Survival"

Introduction
So, I started a YouTube account where I would review albums in a Vlog style every week, but I don't think that kind of reviewing is for me. I am definitely more of a writer than an anchor. So far, I've reviewed Imogen Heap's "Ellipse" and Cobra Starship's "Hot Mess". I also made the video reviewing Ingrid Michaelson's "Everybody", but I didn't feel like it was good enough to upload. Don't get me wrong, editing and filming videos is one of my favorite pastimes, but I really think I prefer to not be the subject of the film. I would much rather sit behind my Macbook type, type, typing away where no one can see my face and I can sit here in my boxers and XL t-shirt listening to music that's too embarrassing to admit to listening to, especially as someone reviewing music. I'll post things whenever I have time due to my school schedule. I will probably review concerts I attend as well, not just albums! And perhaps I'll post pictures; who knows where this wild ride will lead?
